Hello, my name is Brad Duplechien and I am the Director/Founder of "Louisiana Spirits" Paranormal Investigations (www.laspirits.com) I just wanted to thank the staff of the S.F. plantation for allowing us to conduct an investigation of such a beautiful plantation. I have been to most every major plantation in Louisiana, and this is by far, the most beautifully decorated one I have been to! Thanks again, on behalf of LaSpirits and we look foward to our next visit!

I had the pleasure of touring the house not long ago and found it amazing. I am a descendant of the Ory Family (former owners) and felt drawn to the plantation. The San Francisco Plantation is a beautiful piece of Louisiana history!

Nice website for a place dear to my family's heart. Many childhood visits to relatives to the area, and in fact, I am a descendant of the Ory family who owned it at one time. Glad to see the old house is still being cared for so lovingly!

I have been a carpenter for thirty five years. I began my career while living in New Orleans. While working for several union contractors I was fortunate to work for a reputable renovaton companys from New Orleans at the time. One of the contracts the company had was the renovation of this grand plantation home back in the mid. 1970`s. I always have fond memories of living in New Orleans and working on this grand home. Ten Years ago I visited the plantation home with my wife and youngest son. We took the guided tour! It was very educational as well enliting. I hope to be able to visit again in the near future. Thank you, Mak.

What a wonderful day I had visiting The Sanfrancisco Plantation. Washington State is wonderful, but we do not have that southern charm of the past as you do. Please keep that grand old lady as beautiful as she is today. Thank you for a visit I will always charish and remember! Mrs. Washington USA 2002 Julie Knowles~

Hi Visited the SF plantation in early jan 05 and really enjoyed it. The lady that showed us around was not only knowledgable, but quite clearly had immense affection for the place. The attention to detail in the restoration also made for a great window on the past. May i also ad that Louisiana is one of the most hospitable places i have been too. Cheers Mal Lee

Visited San Francisco Plantation in early July 2004 and really enjoyed it. The interiors have been fabulously restored and give a really good sense of life back in the 19th Century along the River Road. Highly recommended!

Don't know if you remember us, but we were the ones who talked to you this afternoon and expressed our pleasure with the Plantation and the tour. Just a bit of reiteration - we are visiting this area (some business, some pleasure) for about 2 weeks. We have been extending ourselves to see as much as possible in our free time and hands down, the tour of San Francisco has been our highlight. Thanks so much. You may also remember you recommended the Bull's Corner Restaurant. We went directly from your place to the restaurant and had a WONDERFUL crab special with some of the best turtle soup and bread pudding ever! Thanks for the recommendation and we will include them and the Plantation in our recommendations to our friends coming to visit this area. Good luck in all you do and thanks for everything. Make sure you take care of Miss Catherine.

I'm very excited about visiting the plantation soon! My grandfather is an Ory and so I have a family history here. We did some research and found that there was a twin Ory and one of them settled down in Louisiana and one settled outside of Chicago. I look forward to visiting many times with the rest of the family.

I use to visit this plantaion when I was a young girl with my parants. We brought our family visting us from other states. We enjoyed your plantation the best of all those on the river road. I think it looks better han ever. It is such a beautiful place. My family are looking forward to visting it again. My parents are no longer living. But I wanted my children to see this beautiful plantation and continue to enjoy this place in history.

I've just returned from Louisianna, and learned that your state has so much to offer the visitor, that I consider my trip to be almost an adventure.

I enjoyed my visit to your Plantation and others along the River Road this past February while I was enjoying Mardi Gras and also in July of 1993. Your Plantation is by far one of the grandest and most beautiful Plantation Homes in Louisiana. Thank you for the education and for the preservation of History that is held within San Francisco's walls.

Cheryl - Colorado

I've visited all the River Road Plantations and study their history. On my last trip (April 2001) I've stayed a whole day at the beautiful San Francisco Plantation, once again. Today I've found your new homepage which includes very interesting links. Especially the slaves inventory and the history of their owner. Greetings and best wishes from Germany.
